A group of travelers has created a viral video about their trip to the Mekong Delta Province of An Giang.
The video “An Giang – Back to Motherland” has quickly spread throughout the country on social media forums to rave reviews for its high production value and style.
Dang Thi Huong Nhi, one of the four 20-something producers, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that their jobs in TV production require them to work with camera all the time.
Two members of their group grew up in An Giang and the crew produced the film during a two day visit to the province.
Nhi said she visited An Giang two years ago and was impressed by the generosity of both the people and the stunning natural environment.
“We worked from dawn to sunset and even through sudden rains, but we were all thrilled to be there,” she said.
The video features the most popular sites in the province including Tra Su mangrove forest, Chau Doc market and is interspersed with slow and beautiful images of life along the river.
Nhi recalled a single image that went by without being recorded, but was remembered fondly by the whole crew: an old tanned man's sunny smile as he gave them driving directions one night.
“Such a small thing but it made us feel light and happy the whole night,” she said.
