VietJet Air, Vietnam’s fastest growing airline, added a new aircraft to its fleet at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.
The new aircraft, an Airbus A320-200, will boost VietJet’s capacity to more than 12,600 seats per week in this summer, the carrier said in a statement.
The new aircraft was emblazoned with the VISA symbol as a way to encourage customers to use credit cards when buying airline tickets, the carrier said.
VietJet currently operates 25 domestic and international routes. The airline said it plans to expand its flight network across the Asia Pacific region and establish joint ventures with regional airline partners in the near future.
