National carrier Vietnam Airlines announced it will open two new international routes linking the central province of Da Nang to Seoul, South Korea and Siem Reap, Cambodia starting July 1.
Airbus A321 flights will depart from Da Nang at 5 a.m. bound for Seoul route each Monday, Thursday and Saturday. The flight is scheduled for five hours, arriving in Seoul at 9:30 a.m., local times.
For the Da Nang Siem Reap route, Vietnam Airlines will soon offer one ATR-72 flight per day, departing from Da Nang at 2:10 p.m. and from Siem Reap at 5:15 p.m. The flight takes 2 hours and 25 minutes.
To celebrate the new routes, the airline is offering a 50 percent discount on tickets bought between now and December 31 for flights booked between July 1 and year's end.
A roundtrip ticket for the Da Nang Seoul route will cost VND5.94 million (US$285) and VND1.738 million (US$83.4) for the Da Nang Siem Reap route.
Vietnam Airlines now offers 90 flights to 28 international and 21 domestic destinations.
