Tourism Australia launches Vietnamese-language website

According to a press release issued by the Australian Embassy in Hanoi,, the official website of Tourism Australia, is now available in Vietnamese.

Visitors just need to use the country and language selectors on the home page to see locally relevant content in Vietnamese.

"Vietnam is an emerging market for Australia, with good potential for growth, given the strong affinity that Vietnam has with Australia in terms of education and immigration," said Maggie White, Regional General Manager, South/Southeast Asia and Gulf Countries, Tourism Australia.

For the year ending March 31, 2010, despite the Global Financial Crisis and outbreaks of H1N1, Australia received over 37,000 visitors from Vietnam, an increase of 9 percent from the previous year.
