Taste of the World 2011, a food festival highlighting international and Vietnamese cuisine cultures, will be held in Ho Chi Minh City from December 26, 2011 to January 1, 2012.
At least 80 companies and the consulates of 25 countries and territories in the city will participate in the festival, which is jointly organized by the city's Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and the Tourism Association.
The participants will introduce their traditional cuisine as well as local products, including confectionary, cooking utensils, and handicrafts.
Held at the September 23 Park in District 1, the sixth edition of the festival will feature 150 food stalls, cooking performances, folk games, traditional costumes of participating countries, outdoor performances by percussion music bands, and a competition for five-star hotels' chefs.
The festival will close with a gala dinner and celebration of the New Year's Eve from 7:30 p.m. to 12 p.m. on December 31.
