July will be an occasion to enjoy American cuisine in Ho Chi Minh City as that country marks Independence Day on July 4

This July chefs in many high-end hotels and restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City will be rolling up their sleeves to prepare fantastic meals of American delicacies.

Parties, meals, and buffets will be organized to mark American Independence Day on July 4.

Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City

To mark American Independence Day Celebration, Chit Chat at the Café Restaurant will host an American-style buffet.

Chefs will use the best ingredients from the US such seafood, beef, and potatoes, while the restaurant will be specially American themed.

The daily buffet is available from July 1 to 14 at 6:30-10 p.m.

The price is VND760,000++ for adults and half that for children under 12. They are subject to 5 percent service charge and 10 percent VAT.

Orientica Seafood Restaurant & Bar will be another option for customers at the Hotel Equatorial Ho Chi Minh City.

Located on level 2, the restaurant will have an American Seafood Festival from July 1 to 14 to celebrate Independence Day featuring an à la carte menu.

Customers will have a chance to enjoy fresh and delicious seafood such as lobster, Dungeness crab, and sea scallop.

The American seafood menu is available daily during lunch and dinner.

Renaissance Riverside Hotel Saigon

For customers who like to enjoy their food while watching the bustling street life and ferries on the river, the Riverside Café Restaurant is the place to enjoy the Independence Day celebrations.

American steaks, grilled lamb chops, hot dogs, and American pies will be among the delicious dishes on offer.

The buffet costs VND640,000++ for food, and VND840,000++ including free flow of red or white wine, beer, and soft drinks. The buffet will be served from July 3 to 9.

Dining club member discounts are applicable and dining vouchers are accepted.

Through July Corso Steakhouse & Bar will present a selection of US foods and wines for the memorial lunch and dinner.

There will be starters such as San Francisco fresh sea scallops topped with bacon, Worcestershire, and BBQ sauce and Los Angeles Steak House salad with wild mushroom, truffle, and fresh strawberry.

For those who love succulent grilled steaks, the Santa Ana T-bone steak is a good recommendation. The prime cut, approved by the US Department of Agriculture, combines the rich flavor of a strip with the tenderness of a fillet rubbed with special seasoning and is grilled over on open flame.

Diners can choose two from a range of sauces for their favorite steaks - such as black and green pepper sauce, wild mushroom and truffle sauce, and pommery grain mustard sauce.

The restaurant also serves other lunch specialties such as prime chopped steak with mushroom gravy and crisp fried onion, and Hawaii pizza with pineapple, ham, and mozzarella and Emmental cheese on top.

A combination of any these dishes with a fine glass of international wine such as cabernet merlot, chardonnay, and sauvignon blanc is sure to enhance the experience.

To complete the dining experience, customers can choose from Washington hot apple crumble and nuts with Sabayon, New York cheese cake with blueberry coulis, and baked pear in chocolate.
