Renowned chef to promote Vietnamese cuisine

The first season of a new series on Vietnamese cuisine hosted by world renowned chef Martin Yan will be broadcast in early 2013, according to a press briefing in Ho Chi Minh City on May 10.

 

The first seasonof of Martin Yan - Taste of Vietnam will include 26 22-24 minute episodes featuring Yan's experiences throughout Vietnam where the host will explore different region's natural beauty, people and local cusines.

 

The Chinese-American chef, will present the specialty dishes of each place he visits.

 

The filming will begin in August, according to the show's producer Dien Quan Media, who will also work with Food Channel and PSB from the US, who have worked with Yan previously, to broadcast the series worldwide and promote Vietnamese tourism and cuisine.

 

At the briefing, Yan, who has run his own show Yan Can Cook since 1978, told Tuoi Tre Newspaper, that "No where else do I feel at home like in Vietnam.

 

"If the show is a success, I will move and settle down in Vietnam."
