VietJet Air announced it will launch a new flight connecting the central city of Danang with the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on July 22, making it the first airline to connect the two cities.
With three round-trip flights per week, the 90-minute flight will depart from Danang at noon and return from Can Tho at 2pm.
Commenting on the new VietJet Air route, Can Tho City’s People’s Committee Chairman Le Hung Dung said, “With great potential for economic development, investment attraction and growing tourism, Can Tho and neighboring areas have long awaited this route.”
“Can Tho and Danang dwellers can now enjoy traveling between the two cities more easily at lower prices,” he said.
Desmond Lin, Business Development Director of VietJet Air, said that the great support from Can Tho and Danang authorities has motivated the carrier to open the route.
Ticket on the new route became available on Wednesday via the carrier’s website (www.vietjetair.com). Bookings can also be made by phone (1900 1886) or at ticket outlets.
VietJet Air currently operates 25 domestic and international routes.
