Vietnam's pho (rice noodles) and goi cuon (summer roll) have made it onto a list of world's 50 most delicious foods compiled by CNN.
According to CNN, pho is just broth, fresh rice noodles, a few herbs and chicken or beef, but it's greater than the sum of its parts -- fragrant, tasty and balanced.
Goi cuon, the snack made from pork, shrimp, herbs, rice vermicelli and other ingredients wrapped in rice paper, is called "meat light" by CNN, "with the flavors of refreshing herbs erupting in your mouth."
Dipped in a slightly sweet Vietnamese sauce laced with ground peanuts, it's wholesome, easy and the very definition of "moreish," it writes.
Pho and goi cuon were ranked 28th and 30th, respectively, on the list.
The top five on the list are Thailand's Massaman curry, Italy's Neapolitan pizza, Mexico's chocolate, Japan's sushi and China's Peking duck.
