Low-fare carrier Jetstar Asia has announced it will open a Singapore-Hanoi route on December 15.
The carrier will operate the flight four times per week - on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, with one-way fares starting from SGD$128 (US$104), all-inclusive.
It will also add a daily Singapore-Ho Chi Minh City service from August 18, 2011 to expand its frequency to three times daily between the two cities.
Hanoi will be Jetstar's 28th destination with direct services to be offered from Singapore.
With the new services and increased frequencies, Jetstar will operate 50 flights per week between Singapore and Vietnam, moving almost 10,000 passengers between both countries each week.
Jetstar, which flies to 56 destinations in 17 countries, is the fastest growing low-cost airline in the Asia Pacific region.
Its pan Asian network extends from Australia through Singapore, as well as to Japan, China, and Vietnam.
