Klaus Rutt, 44, has been selling German sausages in Ho Chi Minh City sidewalk for months now, saying he loves to serve one of his country's specialties to people in the country that he loves.
Rutt sells 200-300 sausages every day on Phan Xich Long Street, Phu Nhuan District from 3 p.m.-9 p.m., Tuoi Tre newspaper reported on December 23.
He told the newspaper he makes and bakes the sausages himself from the ingredients imported from his home country, and then sells them via retail trade or consignment to local restaurants.
Opening the Leon King sausage company five months ago, he now plans to open a German-style restaurant which sells baked sausages and extend his street business, according to Tuoi Tre.
Rutt, who married a Vietnamese woman named Minh Nguyet five years ago, said he had traveled in Vietnam two years ago, and decided to live here as of early this year due to his love for the country
