There’s a new and exciting option for visitors to Nha Trang Bay in central Vietnam these days: walking under the sea.
Tourists can now wear a special helmet with oxygen supply and follow a tour guide in a walk within 15 to 20 meters on the seabed to watch corals and other sea creatures.
The government in Khanh Hoa Province has given Holiday Diving Company 90 days to provide the new service on a trial basis at Hon Mot Island. Once approved, the company can have a full commercial launch.
Le Hong Tai, director of the company, said his is the first to provide the service in Nha Trang.
He is charging VND800,000 (US$37.5) a person.
Truong Kinh, director of Nha Trang Bay Management Board, said the walk is a “very interesting activity” for those who love ecological tourism.
