A Vietnam Airlines flight from Hanoi to Can Tho in the Mekong Delta had to make landing in Ho Chi Minh City Tuesday after the crew found cracks in a cockpit window.
The problem was detected when the aircraft was at 10,000 meters above the ground with 177 passengers and seven crew members.
The crew decided to land at Tan Son Nhat International Airport as Can Tho Airport is not well equipped to fix the aircraft.
Passengers were transferred to another flight to the Mekong Delta city two hours later. They arrived around five hours late.
What caused the cracks has not been determined, according to the report.
