A ruptured undersea Internet cable running between Vietnam and the US is scheduled to be fixed next week, according to a service provider.
The Asia America Gateway was scheduled to be repaired between March 4 and 6, but the plan was altered as a maintenance ship failed to arrive.
The cable broke at a spot between Vietnam and Singapore in early February, making the Internet speed a bit slow, a source told Thanh Nien.
The repair work will begin on March 12 and is due to take six days.
The 20,000-km cable has suffered frequent ruptures since it was laid in 2009.
