The Ministry of Science and Technology is collecting opinion on its VND900-billion (US$39.74 million) plan of human resources training for local technological and scientific fields in 2017-25.
All the projected cost will come from the state budget, news website Saigon Times Online quoted the plan as saying on Thursday.
More than 1,000 state employees will be enrolled in local and overseas training programs and act as experts and managers in various areas once they complete their training, it said.
Tran Dac Hien, chief of the ministry's human resources department, was quoted as saying that surveys showed a huge demand for skilled personnel in technological and scientific fields.
