The popular Pokemon GO mobile game is now live in 15 more countries in Asia, including Vietnam.
As of Saturday morning, the mobile application can be downloaded from both Apple and Google Play stores in the country, according to an announcement on the game's official Facebook page.
A lot of people in Vietnam had played the game when the application first launched by downloading its APK.
Created by Nintendo, Niantic and Pokemon, the game plays out in what is known as augmented reality, by tapping users’ GPS applications to spawn Pokemon, or pocket monsters, against the backdrop of the real environment.
Pokemon GO was initially launched in the US on July 6, before subsequently rolling out to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Brazil.
The game has passed 100 million downloads, according to news website TechCrunch.
