A global hacking scheme which exploited the computer bug “Shellshock” has affected at least 89 websites based on Linux operating system in Vietnam for the past few days.
Hanoi-based online security firm BKAV said in a report that the hacking started on March 26 and has affected around 8,500 websites worldwide.
The list will keep getting longer, it said.
The company did not name the Vietnamese websites that were hacked, but said two of them belonged to educational institutions.
