Excitement in Gia Lai
The participation of the Iraqi team promises to make the 6th Thanh Nien U.21 International Championship in Gia Lai October 11-21 an exciting event.
Iraq will send its U19 team to the event. They are the strongest team in the contest, and a heavily favored top-seed. They finished atop Group A at the U19 Asian Football Confederation championship this year with four wins against Bangladesh, Maldives, Saudi Arabia and Oman.
Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore will also send their U21 teams to Gia Lai to prepare their players for the South East Asian Games next year.
