V.League’s 7th round: tough race for top five

Becamex Binh Duong and Than Quang Ninh, both table-topping teams at the V.league, suffered loss on Sunday, giving hope for the next three teams to close in.
Becamex Binh Duong fell to neighbor Dong Tam Long An 3-1 in Long An Stadium. 
Binh Duong took an early lead with the 3rd minute goal by Tang Tuan.
But host Dong Tam Long An responded with sharp attacks and three goals scored by Tai Em, Chi Cong and Souleymane Diabate helped them advanced to 4th position and maintaining their undefeated streak.
Meanwhile at Cam Pha Stadium, Thanh Hoa defeated host Than Quang Ninh 1-0 with a goal by Das Silva in the 66th minute in a match that referee Hoang Anh Tuan issued 10 yellow cards.
Thanh Hoa advanced to 5th position after 7th round.
Becamex Binh Duong maintained their leading position, followed by Than Quang Ninh, both with 15 points.
A draw with host Dong Nai helped Hai Phong secures their place with 14 points while Dong Tam Long An and Thanh Hoa have 13 points each.
The eighth round will take place on the weekend before the mid-season break. The 9th round will be on April 12.
