V-League club plumps for Korean coach after losing streak

Becamex Binh Duong Football Club announced Tuesday they have hired South Korean coach Cho Yoon Hwan to replace Dang Tran Chinh for the rest of the season.

The 51-year-old played for Korea from 1983 to 1989.

After retirement, he coached several clubs at home, including Jeonbuk, who are currently playing in South Korea's topflight K-League.

The 2007-08 champions Binh Duong sacked Chinh following three consecutive losses. The club are now in sixth place in the V-League.

Cho has five days to prepare the team for their away match against Kien Giang next week.

Binh Duong have also strengthened the team by including Phung Cong Minh from TDC Binh Duong, the club's second team who play in the First Division, and signing Nigerian striker Samson Kpennoen.
