V-League runners-up Binh Duong will clash with the league champions Da Nang in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup's second round on May 12.
The two Vietnamese teams will fight for a berth in the third round of Asia's second-tier event because Da Nang finished at the top of Group H with four wins and two draws while Binh Duong was second in Group F with four wins, one draw and one loss.
Despite the 5-0 away win over Maldivian club Victory on Wednesday; Binh Duong is behind Indonesia's Sriwijaya on goal difference. While both teams have 13 points each, Sriwijaya scored 17 goals and conceded three while Binh Duong scored 14 and conceded two goals.
At the regional contest last year, the 2007-08 V-League champions Binh Duong became the first Vietnamese club to make their way to the semifinals.
Sriwijaya will play Thai Port, who finished second in Group H behind Da Nang.
