Vietnam's U21 team, champions of the Thanh Nien-sponsored U21 International Football Competition in Gia Lai on Tuesday, will play a friendly with Thailand in Ninh Thuan Province on Friday.
Invited by the officials of the south central coastal province, the young Vietnamese players will clash with Thailand's U21 again after beating them in the semifinals on Sunday October 2.
The Vietnamese players won 7-6 in a penalty shootout after the two teams drew 1-1 during play time.
Though the losers, the young Thai players left a great impression on the highlanders of Pleiku City with their excellent skills and high spirits.
The friendly match on Friday, October 7, is expected to be an exciting treat for football fans in the coastal town of Phan Rang-Thap Cham in Ninh Thuan.
