Four young players from the Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL)-Arsenal JMG will fly to London for a short training session with Arsenal, the English Premier League team.

Nguyen Tuan Anh, Luong Xuan Truong, Tran Huu Dong Trieu and Nguyen Cong Phuong plan to leave for England on Wednesday.

The Vietnamese footballers are scheduled to train with young players from other countries with Arsenal's Under-18 team under the direct supervision of club boss Arsen Wenger and other experienced coaches of the club from December 7-24.

If they perform well, they are likely to be offered the opportunity to extend their time with the club's U-18 team and become professional footballers.

V-League side HAGL, which manages the four players, have organized two friendly matches at the club in Vietnam's Central Highlands to provide extra practice before their trip abroad.

Cong Phuong, playing with a young team, scored twice in a 5-0 win over Vietnam's second-flight Fico Tay Ninh while all four players were part of a squad that lost 4-1 to HAGL's first side.

Hopefully, the chosen players as well as the other young trainees at HAGL-Arsenal JMG will make a good impression in London, and will contribute to strengthening Vietnamese football in the future.
