Vietnam's national football team is scheduled to play Manchester City in a friendly match at Hanoi’s My Dinh Stadium on July 27.
Do Quang Hien, chairman of Vietnam’s V.League club Hanoi T&T, said he has contacted the English Premier League club recently.
“Without big tournaments in the summer, the English club is set to bring its brightest stars to Hanoi,” he said.
Besides the friendly match, Manchester City will also promote its image in Vietnam, he said.
In 2012, Manchester City won the Premier League, their first league title for 44 years.
Last year, they won the League Cup and a second Premier League title.
