Vietnamese shooters secured a bronze medal in 10m running target mixed men’s team at the 17th Asian Games in South Korea on Saturday.

Tran Hoang Vu, Ngo Huu Vuong and Do Duc Hung scored 1,123 points in total, following China with 1,139 points and North Korea with 1,137 points.
So far, Vietnam shooters have claimed two silver and five bronze medals at the sports event.
On the same day, Vietnam women’s sepaktakraw lost 0-2 to Thailand and claimed a bronze medal.
Meanwhile, Vietnam’s top badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh lost 1-2 to world’s no 1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia at their quarterfinal match.
Wei had a tough fight against Minh, who ranked 23, and lost 23/21 in the first set. However, he defeated Minh 21/16 and 21/17 to win the match and advanced to semifinals.
In wrestling, Ly Thi Hien defeated Uzbekistan Sultamuratova Aziza 5-0 at 63kg category and will compete with Indian Jakha Geetika for bronze medal.
Earlier on Friday, Vietnam young swimmer Anh Vien won a bronze medal at women’s 200m backstroke. The 18-year-old swimmer from Can Tho City had claimed a bronze medal at women’s 400m mixed with a time of 4’48s35, seven seconds less than her previous record set at the 2013 tournament.
Vietnam ranked 14th among 25 countries and territories at the Games by 5 pm on Saturday with one gold medal, six silvers and 20 bronzes.
