Vietnam crushes Malaysia 9-2 in women’s futsal friendly match

Vietnam had a 9-2 win over host Malaysia in a friendly match on September 16. ahead of the 2015 AFC Women's Futsal Championship that will be held in Nilai from September 19-26.
Nguyen Thi Thanh scored the first goal for Vietnam before Malaysian women leveled the score and took a 2-1 lead at the Sukan Negara sport complex.
However, Vietnamese women came from behind to lead 6-2 in the first half before winning 9-2 overall.
Nguyen Thi Thanh scored a hat-trick and Nguyen Thi My Anh made a double.
Four other goals for Vietnam were scored by Pham Thi Tuoi, Kim Thoa, Thanh Hang and Huyen Linh.
The last women’s futsal match between Vietnam and Malaysia was at the Southeast Asian Games 2013 in Myanmar that ended with a 3-3 draw.
The AFC Women's Futsal Championship is going to be held for the first time this week.
Vietnam is in Group B with Japan, China and Thailand.
Host Malaysia will compete against Iran, Uzbekistan and Hong Kong in Group A.
Two best teams from each group will get through.
