Four Vietnamese male players Kien Quoc, Tuan Quynh, Thanh Luan and Quang Linh are competing at the 2011 World Table Tennis Championship that takes place in Rotterdam from May 8-15.

The four players will participate in the men's singles and doubles events, with Quynh and Quoc making one pair.

Not much hope is pinned on Vietnamese players going far at the competition because they are in the groups with higher ranked, seeded players.

Kien Quoc, Quang Linh and Nam Hai participated in the 2009 event in Yokohama, Japan. Only Quoc passed the qualifying rounds but then he lost 0-4 to Cheung Yuk of Hong Kong in the first round.

In this year's event, the Vietnamese players are expected to gain some experience as they prepare for the 26th Southeast Asian Games in November 2011 in Indonesia.
