Vietnam's badminton ace Nguyen Tien Minh bowed out of the Li Ning China Open 2012 after losing 1-2 to Indian rival Kashyap Parupalli in the second round on Thursday (November 15).
28-year-old Minh, 11th in the Badminton World Federation rankings, cruised to a 21-12 win in the first set.
But the 23rd-ranked Indian played much better in the second and it was a see-saw game until the score reached 20-20, but the 26-year-old Indian contestant scored the next two points to take the set.
Buoyed by his second set win, Parupalli produced another superb display to take the decider 21-14 .
Minh will next compete at the Yonex-Sunrise Hong Kong 2012 from November 20-25 in an effort to return to the top ten.
