Vietnam's number one badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh crashed out of the Super Series Finals 2010 in Taiwan after losing all three group stage matches.

After losing in straight sets to the world number one Malaysian Lee Chong Wei and world number three Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark, the match against another Dane Jan Jorgensen on Friday was of academic interest.

Yet the world number nine Vietnamese lost in straight sets to Jorgensen, who is right behind him in 10th position.

Minh, the only Vietnamese player to enter the world's top 100, had lost seven of eight previous matches against Lee Chong Wei and lost all six he'd played against Peter Gade.

However, Minh had beaten Jorgensen in all four of their previous encounters and Friday's loss was the first.
