Tennis talent Hoang Thien to miss Davis Cup 2011

Vietnam's rising tennis star Nguyen Hoang Thien will not compete in the Davis Cup contest for the Asia-Pacific region that will take place in Sri Lanka from June 15-20.

The 16-year-old has not been included in the squad because he is recovering from an injury, said National Team Manager, Doan Quoc Cuong.

The four long-time regulars, Do Minh Quan, Ngo Quang Huy, Le Quoc Khanh and Hoang Thanh Trung will compete at the event with coach Truong Quoc Bao at the helm.

Vietnam (ranked 85th in the world) will compete in Group III against seven other teams - Kuwait (70th), Malaysia (72nd), Oman (75th), Lebanon (82nd), Sri Lanka (83rd), UAE (96th) and Myanmar (102nd).
