American basketball star Julius Hodge, who joined Ho Chi Minh City-based club Saigon Heat less than a month ago, has already been penalized for "inappropriate behavior" during training, a local web site reported.
The former National Basketball Association player was expected to beef up the club, which was established two months ago, to compete in the ASEAN Basketball League starting this month, but he has reportedly not been enthusiastic in practice and has been suspended for three days, according to VnExpress.net.
The 28-year-old will have his wages docked if he continues to "break the rules," according to coaching staff.
Saigon Heat have said they want to be professional and have no place for prima donnas.
