Football legend Pele will come to Vietnam early March to attend a coffee festival in Buon Ma Thuot Town organized by the Trung Nguyen Corporation and the Dak Lak People's Committee.

The organizers said the greatest footballer of all time will be among many culture and sports ambassadors from famous coffee-producing and consuming countries like Brazil and Colombia to attend the event.

Trung Nguyen's partner in Brazil said Pele has accepted an invitation to attend the festival as an honorary guest and speak at the opening ceremony.

The Dak Lak People's Committee, Trung Nguyen Corporation and Thanh Nien Media Corporation will invite Pele to participate in some other sports talk events.

Pele's presence is expected to attract lots of football fans in Vietnam.

V-League club Dong Tam Long An had invited Pele to come to Vietnam during an international football tournament organized by the club in 2007, but he cancelled the trip at the last minute because of health and other concerns.
