Over 12,000 come to see FIFA trophy in Vietnam capital

More than 12,000 fans came to Hanoi's Quan Ngua Sports Complex to see and take photos with the FIFA World Cup trophy on Wednesday.

Mac Hong Quan, striker for Vietnam's Under-23 national football team also attended the event, showing off some ball jiggling skills and having photos taken alongside local fans with the FIFA trophy in the background.

Pham Nha Uyen, Coca-Cola Indochina Media Manager, said the event was more successful than expected. Tickets were sold out in the morning and football fans queued to see the trophy from 8 a.m. till 6 p.m.

Some were kids while others were elderly. Entire families of four generations came to the event together.
