Nghe An comes from behind to win in AFC Cup

V-League club Song Lam Nghe An pulled off a 10-man, come-from-behind victory against VB Sports in their second AFC Cup match at the Maldives National Stadium on Tuesday.

The Maldivian hosts took the lead with striker Ali Ashfaq's goal after 18 minutes, but midfielder Quang Tinh equalized one minute later.

The Vietnamese visitors' form picked up after the break, and striker Ngoc Anh and midfielder Hoang Thinh found the back of the net to earn the win.

In other action, TSW Pegasus from Hong Kong suffered a 1-2 home defeat at Tseung Kwan O Sports Ground to Indonesian hosts Sriwijaya, who were held 1-1 at home by VB Sports in their first game. The Hong Kong club took a 2-1 away win over Nghe An in central Vietnam in the AFC Cup opener on March 1

Sriwijaya now lead Group F with four points, followed by Nghe An and TSW Pegasus with three points each and VB Sports at the bottom.

Nghe An will travel to Indonesia to clash with Sriwijaya at Jaka Baring Stadium, while VB Sports will take on TSW Pegasus at Maldive's National Stadium in their third game on April 13.
