Minh leads badminton hopes at SEA Games

Twelve badminton players will fly to Indonesia on November 1 to compete at the  26th South East Asian Games.

The regional tournament's badminton contest will take place from November 12-19, so the Vietnamese players will have 10 days of practice at the Jayrara Badminton Club before their matches.

The Vietnamese badminton national team consists of 16 members including four coaching and managing staff.

Vietnam's number one men's player Nguyen Tien Minh, ranked 7th in the world, is expected to win the gold medal because  world No.1 Malaysian Lee Chong Wei has said he won't compete.

The country's number one female player, Vu Thi Trang, the youth Olympics bronze medalist, is seen to be in line for a repeat performance.
