Liem takes four consecutive wins at chess olympiad in Turkey

Vietnam's chess ace Le Quang Liem took four consecutive wins at the 40th Chess Olympiad 2012 in Istanbul.

The four wins earned Liem 7.5 Elo and secure him a place among the world's super grandmasters, those who maintain an Elo rating of more than 2700.

Liem (Elo 2693) took his first win over Bravo from Nicaragua (Elo 2291) before beating Bojan (elo 2551) from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Collin Pace from Malta (Elo 2136) and Susanto (Elo 2539) from Indonesia.

After the fourth round at the on-going World Indoor Championships Athletics Istanbul 2012, Vietnam's male team currently occupies the 27th position out of 150 teams from around the world.

The Vietnamese male team will next face the Georgian team while the Vietnamese women, who are in the 29th spot at the event, will next face rivals from the U.S.A. in the fifth round.
