Hosts Binh Duong won the 13th edition of the annual BTV International Football Tournament after beating Vietnam's Under-22 team 2-0 in the final match on Sunday.
After losing 4-1 to the hosts in the group stage, the U22s played more defensively in the final, but their inexperience showed.
Binh Duong custodian Dinh Duc and captain Philani were awarded the best goalkeeper and best player titles of the tournament.
It was the fourth time that hosts Binh Duong have won the title. Their earlier victories came in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
Despite the defeat in the final game, the Vietnamese U22s can take comfort in a 6-1 win over V-League powerhouse Saigon Xuan Thanh in the semifinals.
Striker Van Thang of the Vietnamese U22 team won the "best scorer" title with six goals at the event.
Brazilian club Gremio Barueri, who had lost 3-0 to Binh Duong in the semifinals, finished third in the competition after beating Saigon Xuan Thanh 4-0 in the fight for the third place.
