Hoang Thien scored the third goal for Hoang Anh Gia Lai after getting a good pass from Sanogo Moussa.
With two wins in the last two rounds, Hoang Anh Gia Lai advanced to 11th position, sharing 23 points with Dong Thap and Can Tho that ranked behind.
Dong Nai, who had a 4-4 draw with Dong Tam Long An, secured 1 points and still ranked at the bottom with 18 points.
Meanwhile, Becamex Binh Duong had a 0-0 draw with Hai Phong to secure an early crown of V.League with 49 points.
