HCMC Prisma night run promises 'wonderlands' of light and sound


More than 6,000 people are expected to participate in the fun run event Prisma Night Run in Ho Chi Minh City’s District 2 on November 22.
The 5km (3.1 miles) night time fun run will feature "immersive blasts of light and sound that transport the participant into an electric wonderland," according to the HCMC-based organizer Pulse Active.
“This intriguing run will transport the participant into different wonderlands with many themes of colorful lights and music styles, promising to transport your mind, body and soul to a new world in a healthy way,” Pulse Active said in a statement.

At the finish line, there will be a performance of famous DJs including Atlanta-born rapper, producer and DJ Lil Jon, Atran and Mandfred from Singapore, Katsy Lee and Ace Ramos from the Philippines and Touliver and MC Rhymastic from Vietnam.
“Prisma - The Night Run is not about speed but about having fun, sharing happiness with your friends and family in a night full of unique light effects and amazing sound,” according to Pulse Active. “There is no winner, no official times, just laughter all around.”
By November 16, participating fee is VND550,000 (roughly US$26) per person and VND470,000/each for group from ten. Last minute fee is VND600,000/each on event day of November 22.
Participants will get a kit of T-shirt, rucksack, bib number, program leaflet, some glow accessories and a Nike’s 15 percent discount voucher. Registration is available on the event website and ticketbox.
According to the organizer, children below 16 years old are required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guard. Children below height of 1m3 are free to participate in and required to be accompanied by a parent or legal guard.
“We are excited to bring our passion to produce fantastic running events for the locals in order to build up and expand a healthy community,” according to Pulse Active.
Established in 2013, Pulse Active has successfully organized major events including HCMC Run 2013, Color Me Run, Da Nang International Marathon 2014.
Color Me Run, which was held in Phu My Hung in HCMC’s District 7 on April 19, has attracted more than 6,800 participants.
