The 2010 International U.21 Football Tournament will be played in Ho Chi Minh City's Thong Nhat Stadium from October 23-31.
The annual football event, which is sponsored by the Thanh Nien newspaper, is considered a key part of developing youth football talent in the Southeast Asian region in general and Vietnam in particular.
In the fourth edition of the annual contest, four foreign squads from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Myanmar will compete with Vietnam's U21 and U19 teams.
The six teams will play in the round-robin format in two groups with the top two teams from each advancing to the semifinals.
The champions will get a cash prize of US$10,000 while the second and third teams will get $7,000 and $5,000 respectively. Fair play award winners will be awarded $3,000.
On the first day on Saturday, Singapore will clash with Malaysia before Vietnam's U21 squad take on Myanmar.
