A boring, listless, scoreless draw at home in the penultimate game against Navibank Saigon at the Hang Day Stadium on Sunday gave Hanoi T&T the 2010 V-League championship.

Not bothering to launch any attack, the capital side put on a negatively defensive display. The hosts' tension plus the absolute caution of the visitors from Ho Chi Minh City robbed the game off any spark it could have had.

Hanoi T&T have claimed the championship with 46 points, four points clear of second and third-placed Hai Phong Cement and Khanh Hoa with only one more round to go this season.

However, the team from the capital city will not be awarded the trophy until their away game against 2003-04 champs Hoang Anh Gia Lai at Pleiku Stadium in the final round next week.

Hanoi T&T club owner Do Quang Hien had promised the team an award of VND6 billion (US$312,000), but the team failed to leave many good impressions on their road to the title.
