Bundesliga I club Eintracht Frankfurt came back from a goal down to beat V-League side Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) 3-1 in a friendly at HCMC Thong Nhat Stadium on Friday.

The V-League 2005-06 champions started with a strong defense and well-organized attacks while the visitors from Germany's top-tier league played a bit slowly.

The hosts took the lead after 30 minutes when Thai midfielder Issawa Songthong scored the opener with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area.

But Eintracht Frankfurt improved their attacks when their German-born Turkish striker Halil Altintop came off the bench after the break.

The visitors from Germany proved to be much faster, especially from both wings.

Altintop, Benjamin Köhler and Juvhel Tsoumou struck to earn a victory for the German side.

It was their second win after they shutout Vietnam's national football team 2-0 at Hanoi's My Dinh Stadium two days earlier.

The two friendly matches were part of festivities to celebrate German Year 2010 in Vietnam.
