Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) has jumped off V-League bottom after a 4-3 dramatic road win over Hai Phong at Lach Tray Stadium in the 16th round on July 21.

This was the second win for the Mekong Delta side since firing coach Marcelo Javier Zuleta on July 8 due to the team's poor performance.

Coach Ngo Quang Sang has breathed new life into the League team.

Striker Viet Thang scored twice to help his team take a 2-1 lead.

The hosts fought back to take a 3-2 lead, but Thang scored his team's third goal to level the score before midfielder Phan Tan Tai scored the winner three minutes from full time.

In other action, Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) jumped back into first place with 29 points after a 2-0 home win over Thanh Hoa at Vinh Stadium after Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL). Reigning champs Da Nang drew 2-2 at Pleiku Stadium on July 20.  HAGL is second with 28 points while Da Nang is in third with 27 points.

Kien Giang Bank Kien Giang slid one position to bottom after a 1-1 tie with Hanoi T&T, which is now in fourth place with 27 points. Yet Da Nang and Hanoi T&T have played only 15 games.
