The Vietnam Golf Association (VGA) recently announced that the Danang Golf Club would host the 4th annual Vietnam Amateur Open in June.
"The Dalat Palace Golf Club served as a wonderful venue during the past three years," said VGA Secretary General Nguyen Ngoc Chu. "But it's Danang Golf Club's turn to shine, and I think it will."
Last year, the course was listed as one of the world's top 15 new venues by Golf magazine.
The club features a US$5 million, 4,000-square-meter clubhouse and a practice facility that includes a 1,600-square-meter chipping/putting green and a driving range that faces the famous Ngu Hanh Son (Marble Mountains).
Non-professional golfers living in Vietnam and Vietnamese non-professionals residing abroad can enter the tournament for free.
The Vietnam Amateur Open is a four-day, 72-hole event which attracted 134 golfers from Southeast Asia last year. The VGA expects at least as many competitors when this year's edition commences on Thursday, June 9.
