The inaugural Dalat at 1200 Ladies Golf Championship, which will feature 108 golfers in the Asia-Pacific region, will take place in the resort town of Da Lat from March 25 to 27, organizers said Friday.
The female golfers from South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar and Vietnam, including famed ones such as Ahn Shin Ae, Lee Jung Min, Ko Jin Young, Yoon Chae Young and Nguyen Thao My, will compete for the US$420,000 prize, the organizers said.
“We are really looking forward to the attention this tournament will bring to Lam Dong Province,” a representative of the provincial People’s Committee said in a statement. Da Lat belongs to Lam Dong Province.
The tournament will be broadcast live on South Korea’s SBS Golf and Vietnam’s Info TV from 12:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. on March 25, 26 and 27.
The 2016 Ladies Golf Championship, sponsored by Singapore’s Centurion Group, is the first in a three-year contract, said Nguyen Viet Quy, general director of The Dàlat at 1200 country club and private estate.
