American Nicole Marchetto has won the women's race at the first international half-marathon held at Mui Ne.
She finished the 21-kilometer race in 2:07:19. Her compatriot Brooke Stluka finished 10 minutes behind her while Singapore's Kah Peng Aw reached the tape in 2:34:14.
Vietnamese runners dominated the men's division, taking the first three spots. Tran Van Cong came first with a time of 1:17:21.
The race, organized by Hong Kong-based Sporting Republic, attracted locals and participants from 16 other countries.
Sporting Republic organizes several major events in the region, including some at the world vertical run at Landmark 72, Vietnam's highest building in Hanoi.
The world circuit comprises of races in New York, London, Milan, Basel, Berlin, Taipei, Hanoi, Singapore, and São Paulo, with the men's and women's champions each collecting a US$6,000 prize.
