An electrician died after falling from the 16th floor of a building being constructed in Hanoi on Tuesday morning.
Nguyen Khai Hoan, 23, from nearby Hung Yen Province, had only worked as an intern at the Hanoi Plaza building for two days.
Hoan was supposed to work on the wiring of the 28-storey building.
Fellow workers at the site said he died on the spot at around 9a.m. after falling from a height of around 30 meters. Police are investigating the accident
The Hanoi Plaza is invested in by South Korean Charmvit Corporation. Construction of the building is expected to finish soon.
Late last month, the South Korean-invested Keangnam Hanoi Landmark Tower claimed its sixth life since work began last July. The last two victims were killed after a formwork fell on to one side and a steel pipe hit another one. Four other workers were killed in one week last July, with all of them slipping and falling to their death.
