The house of Do Thi Thoa along National Highway 1A in Binh Duong Province
A woman was seriously injured after an apparent bomb blast in front of her house in the southern province of Binh Duong on Tuesday.
Do Thi Thoa, 36, was reportedly opening the front door of her house, which also serves as a coffee shop, along National Highway 1A in Di An Town when the explosive device, allegedly put under the door by someone, went off.
The incident happened at around 6:30 a.m.
Thoa was thrown back to the house and passed out immediately with severe wounds. Debris from the explosion scattered all over the ground.
Nearby residents rushed to the scene and brought Thoa to hospital.
Given her condition, Thoa was then transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for better treatment.
Thoa lives alone in the house, according to her family.
Local police are still investigating the case.
