A large buffalo that ran amok in Hanoi's Phu Xuyen District killing a 62-year-old woman and injuring two others on July 26 was shot and killed by local police.
At around 7:30 a.m. Vu Thi Tham was standing in front of her son's house in the district's Phuc Tien Commune when the male buffalo rushed at her without warning, VietNamNet reported.
The buffalo then hit Vu Thi Tiep, 63, and Luong Thi Loan, 20, before being shot down by commune police..
Tham's relatives rushed her to the Bach Mai hospital in Hanoi. She was pronounced dead on arrival.
Police are trying to find out who owned the buffalo.
On June 17, a buffalo running wild in An Giang Province's Long Xuyen Town injured six people before being shot down.
