Ho Chi Minh City police are investigating the death of a Vietnamese-American man, who lived alone in a rented house in Phu Nhuan District.
The body of Huynh Cong Anh, 68, was found on Tuesday on the first floor of the two-story house on Phan Dinh Phung Street after a newspaper delivery man informed neighbors that Anh had not collected newspapers for four days.
When the police came into the house, they saw his decomposing body.
Police said they found some blood stains on the light switch and stairs, a bloody female sandal and a hammer at the scene.
Neighbors said Anh had lived alone in the house for the past two years.
